Sauvie Island Preschool is a Montessori‑inspired, nature‑integrated early learning program opening in September 2026 at the historic Sauvie Island Grange. As the island’s only preschool, our program offers children the opportunity to learn in a setting surrounded by farms, fields, and forests.

We serve children ages 3-5 in a small, nurturing classroom of just ten to twelve students. Our approach blends the independence and hands‑on learning of Montessori education with daily outdoor experiences unique to Sauvie Island.

Our mission is to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and connection. Social‑emotional development is at the heart of our work, supported through relationships, communication, and a community-centered culture.

Located next to Sauvie Island School (not affiliated), the Grange is a convenient hub for parents with school-aged kids.
